About Our Church
One hundred years ago our parish came into existence, dedicated on June 9, 1895 to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. During these past 100 years the world has changed significantly; so too, has the City of New Philadelphia. Yes, even Sacred Heart Parish. But the underlying purpose of our parish has not changed: our faith has remained constant. Our parish community, with the guidance of our Pastor, Rev. Jeffrey J. Coning, includes more than 700 families. We are part of the Catholic Diocese of Columbus, Ohio.
