Music is a language that communicates the joy and hope of Christian life! We encourage you to share your musical ability, no matter how great or small, so that when combined with your spiritual commitment, music can become a powerful experience in worship at Sacred Heart Church. Four choirs for adults, as well as three choirs for children and youth provide a broad range of liturgical musical experience for all. ADULT CHOIR MINISTRIES: a) "Traditional" choir - Commitment: Wednesday Night Rehearsals 7:30 -9:00 p.m. in the church. Sing at Sunday Mass on alternate weeks - 10:30 a.m. Warmups: 10 a.m. Occasional Saturday Mass - 5:00 p.m. Warmups 4:30 p.m. b) "Folk" choir - Commitment: Wednesday Night Rehearsals 7-9 p.m. Sing at Sunday Mass on alternate weeks - 10:30 a.m. Warmups: 9 a.m. Occasional Saturday Mass - 5:00 p.m. Warmups: 4 p.m. "8:30" choir - Commitment: Wednesday Night Rehearsals 6:30 - 7:30 p.m., in the church. Sing at Sunday Mass 3-4 times per month - 8:30 a.m. Warmups: 8 a.m. d) Resurrection Choir - Commitment: Funeral Liturgies as needed. Rehearsals in Divine Providence Center one hour preceding Mass. YOUTH/CHILDREN CHOIR MINISTRIES a) Teen Choir (Teenage Boys and Girls *Grades 8-12) - Commitment: Rehearsals - 1st Sunday of every month, 6-8 p.m., Divine Providence Center. Sing at Noon Mass - 2nd Sunday of every month. Warmups: 11:30 a.m. b) Children's Choir (Boys and Girls *Grades 3-7) - Commitment: Monday rehearsals - 5:15 - 6 p.m.; in Divine Providence Center except December (Sundays, 5-6 p.m.) in the church. Sing at Mass - approximately 6-7 times per year. c) Christmas Choir (Boys and Girls *Grades K-2) - Commitment: Sunday Rehearsals - 5-6 p.m. beginning November 5, in the church. Sing at Christmas Eve Mass with Children's Choir - 5 p.m. Warmups: 4 p.m.
